‘Films For Every Year Of My Life’ is an on-going self-initiated project that I am doing to demonstrate my love of movies through illustrated film posters. The idea for the project is to create a poster for each year of my life (so from the year 2000 to the present) showing details from many films that came out that year, including my personal favourite films as well as the highest-grossing films from that year, and other culturally significant films and award winners. The overall aesthetic and genre of each poster will be based on whatever my favourite film from that year is and through this I hope that throughout the project I will end up with a wide range of styles of poster. To include an additional personal and autobiographical touch to this project, I have also subtly included an illustration of myself in each poster at the age I was in that year.

This is a long-term project that I hope to continue for a long time, as an almost catalogue of all the films that have come out in my lifetime, so although there are currently only a couple of posters in this project, I hope that eventually I will manage to have a movie poster for every year of my life.
